I’ve loved the Animusic videos since I first saw them years ago. The technology is a kind of reversal on music animation in that rather than creating the animation to fit the music, the music itself creates the animation.
Wayne Lytle, a composer of progressive rock music and computer scientist, has been creating these incredible music videos since 1995 and, with David Crognale, released the first Animusic video in 2001.
This is the first track from Animusic 2 and serves as notice that the animation is a big step up from the first Animusic video album.
Striking claymation by director and animator Gianluca Maruotti tells a tale of… well… thinking outside of the box. Perfect for a Friday night music video.
The song, off of Giangrande’s album Beauty At Closing Time, is dreamy and almost sweet and compliments the story well.

An alternate title to the video could be Clippy’s Revenge as it skewers not only the parade of personal digital assistants, but computer and web culture itself. Admittedly, I experienced a bit of nostalgia seeing the old W95/98 screen savers go by.

Another extra day-late Friday night music video. While the snow is gone this week, I still have a fascination with Bendy animations. The style, the music, just the feel of these toons is great fun.

Think of this as an extra Friday night music video posted a day late. Really it’s just a bonus because I’ve been snowed in for two days and am getting stir crazy.
And I have become quite the fan of Bendy cartoon videos. Great tunes and the 3D ‘neo-retro’ animation is pretty interesting, aside from Bendy simply being a brilliant character. Unsure I’ll ever play the game that spawns and inspires the videos, I’m more of a mmorpg player, but it does look like great fun.
While there is some mild disagreements on the lyrics to this song, the brilliantly simple line animation perfectly compliments the boppy tune. Great for a Friday night music video.

Bendy, the dancing demon, stars in this animated musical welcoming Henry home to one hell of a show. I’ve found several music videos featuring Bendy and other characters from the horror/puzzle game Bendy and the Ink Machine, but I like this one the best.
