The Ruffled Crow

Animation, Art, and Other Shiny Things

About ruffled crow

ruffled crow is just a guy, a sometimes writer, and far too curious for the attention span supplied.

I’ve lived around a few crows in my life, in the house and out, and they are the ultimate curmudgeons; they don’t dislike you, it’s just that you annoy them and they’re telling you. A ruffled crow is annoyed and uncomfortable. Yes, that’s me.

And also like a crow I tend to collect things. When I started this blog a couple years ago I wasn’t quite sure what it would collect. Splashing through philosophical mud puddles? Unraveling and exposing sophistry? Posting my favorite LOLCats? Dust?

Well, it seems that animation and art, with the occasional side-order of “ruffled crow’s bright and shiny object” has pretty much taken over. Could be worse, I suppose.

So welcome to my little corner of the interwebs. I hope you enjoy what you find, and remember, if you chose to honor me with a comment – politeness counts.

(do you like my avatar? yeah, completely perfect and really pretty dern cool imho. well, i can thank PurpleEevee909 over at DeviantArt for it who was gracious enough to let me adopt it. i am not being hyperbolic when i say i fell in love with it immediately)

Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for promoting my comic and posting a link to your column. Much appreciated my friend. I can use all the help I can get! LOL!
    Thanks,

You’re most welcome, Hal! I was kinda worried I’d get a C&D email about it (my first, so it would be framed, of course) but thought it’d be worth the risk. (us library folks are real daredevils you know) May have to do a quick revisit now that you’ve started chapter 2.

Definately looking forward to the android app! And nudity. And occult undertones. And heresy, definately enjoy heresy in our household. Was just remarking to Aunt B the other day that I hadn’t offended anyone’s religious sensibilities for some time now and I am certainly due.

Truth be told, I’m more than happy to help you and HM in any way I can. Been enjoying the rag for over 30 yrs and Gates is a natural extension.

Keep up the excellent work, Hal.

Love the cat computations. +/-18,000 seems like a lot until you factor in the savings on heat. With approximately 4000 on/above/underneath you at any one time, you would be quite toasty in any weather.

    Great read. Thanks!

Thanks, Matt! I hadn’t even considered the energy cost savings. That along with perhaps the ability to stuff your own matresses and pillows with shedded cat hair mitigating the furniture replacement expense would certainly add an additional defense, however I think the overall poor attitude of packed in pussycats would shred that mitigation in short order. πŸ™‚

Thanks again, I always appreciate comments!

Thank you! The collecting never ends, only the cats we yell at change. πŸ™‚ Your great pics and posts on CoA have kept me thinking about reviving the blog! Appreciate that Batgirl!

It seems that a lot of librarians are also bloggers. And they are usually very good at blogging too. πŸ™‚
Thanks for following my blog, which is much appreciated.
    Best wishes, Pete.

Thanks for stopping in! Dunno if I quite hold up the level with other library folk, but i try and it keeps me amused in the process. I enjoy the vibe of your blog and look forward to reading it regularly.
