Giving Me A Chance – Gotye
April 5, 2013
Posted by on I’ve become a fan of Gotye over the last year or so. His music is pretty good, but for me, it’s all about the animations; various styles, all quality stuff. From the album Making Mirrors.
Animated by Gina Thorstensen and Nacho Rodriguez.
Seven Hours With a Backseat Driver – Gotye
March 16, 2013
Posted by on With Cruikshank-like animation, the folks at Rubber House Studio tell an allegorical tale of innocence lost.
Directed, designed and animated by Ivan Dixon and Greg Sharp. Additional animation by Neil Sanders, Gavin Mouldey, Alex Grigg, Peter Lowey and Jérémy Pires
Eyes Wide Open – Gotye
April 23, 2012
Posted by on Gotye’s videos are becoming certain favorites around here and I’m pleased to bring you another one.
Directed by Brendan Cook at PictureDRIFT. Character design and animation by Darcy Prendergast at DeePee Studios (and oh yeah wow).
Easy Way Out – Gotye
March 12, 2012
Posted by on This is the second Gotye video I’ve posted and I have a feeling it won’t be the last. They get top-notch animators that create imaginative videos that pair well with their songs. In a variation on the “small world syndrome” this is also the second video I’ve posted from the animators at Oh Yeah Wow. (Darcy Prendergast directing in this video) No doubt we’ll hear from OYW again too.

January 27, 2012
Posted by on Heart’s a Mess by Gotye has a dream-like quality that reminds me a bit of Alan Parsons Project. The video, animated by Brendan Cook, reinforces the unreality well.
